LOCAL TREASURES

ONE OF THE BIGGEST PERKS ABOUT LIVING IN A SMALLER SOUTHERN CITY IS GETTING TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS. I'VE LIVED IN RICHMOND PROPER GOING ON 11 YEARS NOW, AND IT'S AMAZING SEEING THE GROWTH OF THE CREATIVE COMMUNITY RIGHT IN MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD. THERE'S SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL ABOUT THIS CITY AND THE PEOPLE WHO DECIDE TO PLANT ROOTS HERE. ALL OF THESE LOCAL SHOP OWNERS I'VE MET OVER THE YEARS HAVE BEEN SO INVITING, SUPPORTIVE, AND POSITIVE,  AND I FEEL SO FORTUNATE TO BE A PART OF THIS COMMUNITY OF MAKERS. ALL OF THESE SHOPS ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH HANGING OUT IN FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME SHOULD YOU BE NEW TO THE CITY, VISITING, PASSING THROUGH, OR SIMPLY SEARCHING FOR A MEANINGFUL OBJECT.
